National Youth Arts Week has hit the streets of Bridgewater with a big splash. Youth and adults together are mobilizing tho create some exciting events during May 1-7. This past Monday they presented to Bridgewater Town Council and were well received as young people taking a role in democracy.
Two art shows at the Black Duck Gallery in Lunenburg and the Wildwood Cafe in Bridgewater. The Wildwood will hang youth art all month.
A Coffee House/Open Mic hosted by the Bridgewater Library on May 4 from 7-9 pm. Poets, spoken word and performance artists, and musicians are all welcome to show up and perform.
A Free Range Art event at the Bridgewater Mall, Saturday May 5th 10-4, to make your own certified organic art out of junk.
Also: sidewalk chalk art all over town; Incredible Edible garden building with various partners and the Community Garden Network; a video team in partnership with Lighthouse Media Group capturing all this great stuff on video. And more yet to be discovered!
